Each style has a unique set of characters which stands out in the face of the other. Depending in your lifestyle, how you prefer to have your surroundings arranged, you can go with your best picks. Following is a simple guide to understand the popular design concepts in architecture around the world. Who knows! Maybe when you build your dream house, these points might come in handy.

Minimalist

‘ Less is more’ is the bottom line for this design. Minimalism is all about keeping it simple and classic. The elements in the space should be functional rather than decorative. Therefore, this theme avoids non-essential elements most of the time which in turn does not stimulate the user’s eye. Design tends to use the maximum use of views and natural lighting around a space by placing large window openings. Dull colour palettes such as white and grey are used often. Chairs, tables, sofas are simple on form and texture. They all work together to form a restful functional, uncluttered space for the user.  Setting up this design theme is difficult as it requires the ability to set up a simple space with minimum elements without making the space dead and cold. this is one of the popular design concepts in architecture.

When it comes to colors, neutral colors such as browns, greys and whites are combined. Bold and bright colors are not used. Elements within a space such as chairs or tables are usually described to be heavy with large legs and the rugs can be handmade with pieces of jute, burlap, and canvas. The bedding can be linen or cotton within monotonous color range. All these are left unfinished or as it is rather than polishing them or reclaiming them to a better state.
