Residence at Pelawatta by Architect Damith De Silva

  • Project Location: Pelawatta
  • Project Year: 2017

The three-story semi luxury house is located at Pelawatta. The main entrance opens to a Buddha statue giving a spiritual, calm sequel to the residents.

The main concern was to light up the space as requested by the client. Different lighting effects were created by working out false ceilings in the common living spaces. Double height window used in the staircase is eye-catching. Overall finish is of neutral color scheme corporates with glass and timber.

Working out several levels in the living room and dining area, made the space look much appealing. Living area, dining area kitchen, visitors’ room with attached bathroom in the ground floor, three bedrooms with attached bathrooms in the first floor are the main living spaces in this house. A bar area, utility area and the roof terrace on the second floor is iconic.
